On Thursday 11th April, thirteen local law societies from England and Wales came together in Birmingham. Nottinghamshire Law Society's Head of Operations, Michelle Foster has been working with the many local law societies over the last eighteen months, helping them in areas such as marketing, membership retention and event management to mention a few.
The idea to meet in person was suggested earlier this year and Birmingham was selected as the mid-point of the country to meet, so Malmaison was the chosen venue. It was an afternoon of laughter, conversation, new friendships forged, and lots of information shared about our local law societies. everyone engaging and sharing stories about their societies, roles, and inquiring about various processes.
Friendships strengthened by the face-to-face interactions after all those online meetings we have experienced in the last year or so. The guests attending ranged from the societies administrators to President's, all with the passion to keep their societies active and engaging for their members.
The atmosphere was more than just vibrant and alive it was exhilarating!
Thank you to all those that attended the event and played a crucial role in its tremendous success. The involvement of everyone in attendance and backing will guarantee the continuous growth and prosperity of this newly established legal community comprised of local law societies. of England and Wales.
