Francis Reeson - Squash Tournament 2022

On Friday 28th January, the sporty squash members of Nottinghamshire Law Society met at the Park Squash Club to compete in the Society's revival of the Squash Tournament. Originally, the tournament was named after Paul Pollett, the trophy is still in existence and in safe keeping at the Society offices. However, that tournament focused on teams from firms/chambers competing. This year they were competing for a new trophy - the Francis Reeson Trophy!

The tournament consisted of 4 players, Kassra Powles and Ben Standing from Browne Jacobson, Grant Benskin from Rotheras and Ian Cranefield from Richard Nelson LLP. After several games of competing, under the watchful eyes of umpires President, Philip Turton and guest umpire Jane Bramley.

After several matches of some very competitive squash playing the winner was announced!

Congratulations to Grant Benskin!

The evening concluded with a curry at Laguna Restaurant, a well deserved meal to finish off an excellent afternoon of sport. Watch out for the tournament again in January 2023!
