Join us at The Castle Pub as we launch the Nottinghamshire Law Society's annual competitions in style. What better way to kick off competition season than with a specially crafted drink on arrival?
Guests will be welcomed from 5:30pm with a choice of our exclusive legal-themed beverages:

The competition presentation will begin at 6:15pm, where you'll learn more about the Society's three prestigious competitions, open to junior lawyers, students, paralegals and pupils. Each competition showcases a different professional skill, and this year we have enhanced both the prizes and the overall participant experience, including additional complimentary training provided by Nottingham Trent University.
Whether you're considering entering for the first time or looking to build on previous success, this event is the perfect opportunity to meet fellow legal professionals, hear from past competition winners, gain valuable insights and start planning your winning strategy.

The competitions we have to share with you include:
President's Cup A competition that focuses on the art of legal negotiation.
Kevin De Silva Competition A competition that dedicates itself to the art of writing, this can be a blog, bulletin article - free-style writing this year on a topic that you think is readable!
Hammond Cup The only Advocacy Cup competition in the UK and involves a mock trial, with Nottinghamshire's High Court Judges in situ!
Competition Eligibility:
The competitions are open to students (including LPC, SQE and bar training course) and those still engaged in professional training in the workplace (including trainee solicitors and those doing SRA QWE solicitor and paralegal apprentices, pupil barristers (1st seat only) and paralegals (with up to 2 years' experience) who work and/or study in Nottinghamshire.
