Nottinghamshire County Council’s Litigation Team is looking to recruit a highly motivated Legal Practitioner to support solicitors in the conduct of child and adult safeguarding proceedings. Candidates will support solicitors in a number of ways including assisting in the overall management and administration of cases through to conclusion. This will include, amongst other things, drafting and preparing correspondence for court, taking of witness statements, preparing court bundles, attendance at court to support solicitors/Counsel, following up on outstanding matters with departments and or 3rd parties. Suitable candidates must have:-

1. Good understanding and awareness of IT.
2. Good communication and organisational skills.
3. An ability to work to tight deadlines whilst under pressure
4. An enthusiasm for what they do and a willingness to contribute towards ongoing change.
5. An ability to work well with others – good team skills
6. Qualified to degree level or equivalent.
7. Previous work experience in a legal environment desirable
