The role

Sills & Betteridge LLP have one of the most highly regarded Private Client teams in Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire and South Yorkshire. We are looking for an experienced Paralegal or a Newly Qualified Solicitor to join our Private Client Department in our Nottingham office.

We are seeking enthusiastic and ambitious individuals who have experience in dealing with all aspects of wills, probate, trusts and estate administration and dealing with affairs of individual clients and trustees. The successful candidate should also be a hardworking individual who is confident, driven, bright with strong communication skills.


Duties

The role will include but is not limited to:

·       assisting and supporting the fee earners on a range of private client matters;

·       drafting wills, powers of attorney, applications for grants of probate;

·       Court of Protection applications;

·       Managing client’s affairs;

·       assisting with casework;

·       meeting with clients;

·       taking instructions and preparing cases;

·       dealing with correspondence; and

·       assisting with billing as well as various administrative tasks.


Skills

We are accepting applications from candidates who:-

·       have as minimum of 6 months’ Paralegal experience or a Newly Qualified Solicitor

·       are ambitious and enthusiastic;

·       have a good understanding of Microsoft 365;

·       have exceptional client care skills; have a proven ability to be able to work under pressure to tight deadlines;

·       have the ability to show initiative and establish positive working relationships with colleagues.;

·       to be able to work independently and as part of a team;

·       ability to work towards and achieve set targets; and

·       have excellent organisation and administration skills.
