We are reaching out to legal professionals who have experience of working in one or more of the following areas:

·        Planning law

·        Residential property

·        Commercial property

·        Contracts

·        General litigation

Working within our small and friendly team, you will have the opportunity to use your initiative and influence to shape service delivery. You will provide clear and succinct advice to internal and external customers at all levels as well as undertake legal research on complex matters. You’ll also be managing your own case load so you will need to manage your time effectively to comply with deadlines therefore you need to have the ability to work under pressure.

You will be based at the Council offices in Worksop but as a Council, we’re no longer reliant on a fixed desk, in a fixed building with fixed working hours approach. Remote and new ways of working are our new norm and you will be provided with the technology to enable you to divide your time between the office and home.

If you would like more information about these roles, please contact Stella Bacon at (01909) 533533 or by email stella.bacon@bassetlaw.gov.uk

We will value your contributions, give you access to a free healthcare cash plan and benefits, offer a very generous 26-32 days holiday package (pro-rata, plus public/bank holidays) and give you the option to purchase additional annual leave days tax-free. We will double your monthly pension contributions and provide the option to join our shared cost AVC scheme, offer discounted car parking of around £4 per month, and family friendly policies.

To apply please visit www.bassetlaw.gov.uk/jobs-and-careers/ where you can upload your current CV and a covering letter or supporting statement. Please ensure you detail your experience, qualification, skills, achievements and/or abilities that are relevant for the role(s) that you are applying for. Please also clearly indicate in your cover letter which of these 3 roles you wish to be considered for, quoting the above relevant job reference number(s). You should use specific examples. We are looking for evidence that you can thrive in the role advertised.
