The new year has brought some exciting developments to OTB Legal; they have expanded their team, participated in community and charity events, whilst also assisting team members in advancing their legal careers.
OTB Legal welcome a new paralegal to their team. Lisa graduated from Queen’s University Belfast, where immigration and human rights law was the focus of her research project. Lisa expressed her passions early on from her mentoring and fund raising as a youth leader, to volunteering at Lawyers Without Borders (LWOB) while at university. She previously worked as a legal assistant, where she took on numerous responsibilities and strengthened her legal knowledge and skills.
They also celebrated as trainee solicitor, Atty Adetula, got admitted to the roll of solicitors. A huge achievement for Atty who developed her legal career through OTB Legal over the past few years. Personal Immigration director Mark Lilley-Tams says:
“It has been a pleasure being the Training Principal for Atty during her training contract at OTB Legal, and to support Atty on the journey of becoming OTB Legal’s first home-grown Solicitor.”
A side from the celebrations, it has also been a busy start to the year for Business Immigration Director Sally McEwen. As she has taken part in the UK's Big Winter Workout for Crohn's and Colitis. Sally exercised for 31 minutes per day in January to collect donations for Crohn's & Colitis UK. Exceeding her initial goal of raising £125 with an impressive £863.
