A new opportunity is available to become part of the Improving Lives team who are looking for a Trustee with legal experience. The charity is looking for someone passionate about supporting people with mental health issues and dedicated to the organisation’s mission and vision. Improving Lives supports adults in Nottingham to believe that life can change for the better. Everyone supported by the charity has a mental health issue, often compounded by multiple disadvantage; this could include but is not limited to– insecure housing, substance misuse, deprivation and long-term physical health issues.
The charity provides 1-2-1 practical support for up to 12 months to help people address the issues they face and work together to help overcome the barriers which may prevent them better managing their overall health and wellbeing. The charity also operates a befriending service and delivers a comprehensive programme of free activities and events which were designed to help combat social isolation and loneliness within the community.
The role of the trustees plays a vital part in helping support and shape the work and strategic direction of any charitable organisation and your skills and contributions will help to improve the lives of the most vulnerable within the Nottingham City community.
