Actons Announces Big C Little C as Charity of the Year for 2025

Actons has named Big C Little C as its Charity of the Year for 2025, following a company-wide vote among colleagues.

Founded in 2019 by prominent regional business leaders Andrew Springhall and Colin Shaw, Big C Little C raises funds for Cancer Research UK, the NSPCC, and other local charities and families. The charity’s dual focus reflects the personal experiences of its founders, combining support for children’s causes with vital cancer research initiatives.

Throughout the year, Actons will be launching a series of fundraising initiatives to support Big C Little C and raise as much money as possible.

Nic Elliott, Director at Actons, commented: “As a business, we’ve known Andrew and Colin for some time, and when the opportunity came about for us to invite colleagues to support a local charity, we were delighted they came out on top!”

“We’re now looking forward to working with Andrew and Colin to raise as much as we can over the coming months to support these great causes”.

Andrew Springhall, Co-Founder of Big C Little C, said: “I have always supported children’s charities but after being personally affected by cancer, I wanted to work towards raising money for both causes.

“The support from Actons will be fantastic and the fundraising will make a huge difference to charitable work supporting children and critical cancer research.”
