MJC is thrilled to announce the additions of Rebecca Keating and Molly Smallwood to the Nottingham Office, and Lydia Quartley to the Leeds Office.
Rebecca has joined MJC Law as a Court of Protection Solicitor. Rebecca qualified as a Solicitor in a regional firm, training in private and public Family Law and Court of Protection. Since qualifying in 2021, Rebecca has worked in Court of Protection and Child Care Law, where she has represented parents in emotionally challenging and complex situations.
Molly has joined MJC Law as a Court of Protection Paralegal. Molly studied Law at the University of Nottingham, where she developed a strong interest in mental health and mental capacity law. This led to Molly starting her career in Court of Protection and she aspires to qualify as a solicitor in this area.
Lydia has also joined MJC Law as a Court of Protection Paralegal. Lydia studied Law at the University of Hull, graduating in 2019. In 2020, Lydia then went on to complete an LLM in International Human Rights Law and Practice. Lydia later entered the legal profession with a regional firm before joining the Court of Protection team at a national firm in January 2024. Lydia has a longstanding interest in human rights law and became passionate about Court of Protection work while in the industry and aspires to qualify as a solicitor specialising in Court of Protection work.
Rebecca, Molly, and Lydia are committed to pursuing and developing their careers in Court of Protection and advocating for vulnerable individuals in our communities.
Lauren Castle, Solicitor and Director, says “We are delighted to welcome Rebecca, Molly, and Lydia to the MJC team and that they have chosen to progress their legal careers with us. We have no doubt they will offer very worthwhile contributions which also allows us to strengthen our commitment to offering services to some of the most vulnerable members of our society.”
A huge welcome to Rebecca, Molly, and Lydia. We look forward to working with you both for years to come.
