NJLD News September 2020

Edition: September 2020

Welcome to my latest bulletin as Chair of the NJLD for 2020. I hope you are all keeping well as the country slowly makes its way out of lockdown.

Behind the scenes, our Committee remain busy planning future events and activities for junior lawyers across the region, however we are continuing to follow the Governmental and individual firm guidelines closely. Meeting in person once again is the dream, however given the directive that we can’t meet in groups of more than 6 people, this appears to be a little way off.

Further details will be released when it is safe for us to all meet again, so please keep an eye on your emails and social media! Hopefully events in person will restart as soon as possible.

Membership

We are always looking for new members to boost the NJLD throughout the region. Sign up now so that you don't miss out on everything the NJLD has to offer during 2020/21.

As ever, we would politely encourage local firms to contribute towards their staff members' costs, as the NJLD is an excellent networking opportunity and allows members to build relationships which we hope will thrive, particularly when we are out of lockdown.

Should you be interested in joining the NJLD or have any questions in respect of membership, please do not hesitate to contact our membership secretary, Jessica Jesson, via JessicaJesson@eversheds-sutherland.com.  Alternatively, please contact me on Andrew.Dennis@gateleylegal.com.

If your firm, chamber or company has placement students, Paralegals, Pupil Barristers, Trainees or newly qualified Solicitors / recently called Barristers (up to 5 years PQE/BPTC) then consider the benefits that the NJLD's educational, professional, social and sporting networks can offer them.  For further information please see the NJLD Webpage https://www.nottslawsoc.org/about-njld

Should you have any questions in relation to this bulletin, please do not hesitate to contact me via Andrew.dennis@gateleylegal.com.

All the best and stay safe,

Andrew Dennis
